MSF trains health workers for Ebola deployments
3 min read

Health charity MSF has opened a simulation training centre on the outskirts of Nairobi to prepare doctors, nurses and clinicians for deployments to the Democratic Republic of Congo, where officials say the Ebola outbreak is the fastest-growing ever and has killed at least 600 people since mid-May. The centre includes beds, mannequins, a mock laboratory and protective gear, and will run from mid-June through August training about 100 people per month, including MSF staff, Kenyan ministry of health officials and other NGOs, focusing on PPE use, community engagement and safe funerals.
