Nigerian Navy dismantles three illegal refining sites
The Nigerian Navy, under Operation DELTA SENTINEL, dismantled three illegal refining sites in the Okolomade and Ogbogolo areas of Rivers State after intelligence indicated reactivation of refining activity. Personnel from NNS SOROH recovered approximately 91,000 litres of suspected stolen crude and about 70 litres of suspected illegally refined AGO, and found cooking drums, ovens, reservoirs, storage facilities and two makeshift camps. The sites were dismantled and recovered products handled per procedure. This intervention adds to a series of recent naval raids in the Niger Delta and aims to disrupt the infrastructure supporting crude theft and illicit distribution.
