US offers over $100M for arrests in CJNG

The US State Department announced reward offers totaling up to $102 million for information leading to the arrest or conviction of eight leaders and associates of Mexico's Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG), with the largest reward up to $25 million for Juan Carlos Valencia Gonzalez, known as Pelon. The action, coordinated with multiple federal agencies, follows the 2025 designation of CJNG as a foreign terrorist organization and specially designated global terrorist entity, and includes visa restrictions on 65 family members or associates and revocation of 26 existing US visas. The measures aim to increase pressure on CJNG and disrupt drug trafficking networks.
