Russian forces struck civilian merchant vessels and port infrastructure in Mykolaiv Oblast on the night of 26–27 July, the Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine reported. The administration said the vessels struck had been blocked in Ukrainian ports since the full-scale invasion began in 2022 and were not in commercial service. One person was killed and several were injured in the attack. The administration described the incident as another deliberate strike on civilian shipping and noted prior July attacks on 17 and 24 July that damaged vessels and caused additional fatalities.
