VNVC and Sanofi advance vaccine manufacturing in Vietnam
Vietnam and France reinforced plans to localize vaccine manufacturing as VNVC and Sanofi advanced their cooperation at a July 9 high-level conference in Hanoi. The partnership builds on an October 2024 agreement and focuses on research collaboration, workforce development and technology transfer to support vaccine self-sufficiency. VNVC is constructing a VNVC Vaccine and Biological Manufacturing Plant in Tay Ninh with an initial VND2.5 trillion investment, about 26,000 square meters and a planned capacity of roughly 100 million doses annually; operations are targeted by the end of 2027 with first domestic batches expected in 2028.
