Mayo Clinic and Thermo Fisher launch Precure LLC to build multi-omics dataset
Mayo Clinic has launched Precure, LLC with founding partner Thermo Fisher Scientific to create a large-scale multi-omics dataset that links proteomic, genomic and longitudinal clinical information. The new company will generate molecular data from one million biospecimens using platforms including Olink Explore HT and Thermo Scientific Orbitrap mass spectrometry, and apply advanced AI and analytics to identify early biological signals of disease. Mayo Clinic will be majority owner, with Thermo Fisher as minority owner, and any Mayo Clinic financial returns would be reinvested in its nonprofit mission. The dataset is intended to support earlier diagnosis, drug development and more personalized care.
