Saudi Arabia and Indonesia strengthen higher education cooperation
Saudi Education Minister Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan made a short visit to Jakarta and met senior Indonesian officials to strengthen cooperation in higher education, scientific research and human development. The visit aimed to align educational and workforce development with Saudi Vision 2030 and Golden Indonesia 2045, and produced commitments to boost scholarships, research and development, and the use of digital technology and artificial intelligence in education. Indonesia already has 95 active cooperation agreements with Saudi Arabia and named multiple university linkages, which could lead to expanded joint research, STEM collaboration and increased academic exchanges between the two countries.
