Federal government launches AI teacher training for unity colleges

The federal government has signed a terms of reference with ICEDT Consult Limited to roll out an artificial intelligence teacher capacity development programme across all federal unity colleges after a successful pilot in six colleges. Implemented by the Education Support Services Department, the project aims to train about 11,700 teachers to improve lesson planning, classroom instruction, assessment methods and overall teacher productivity. Officials stressed strict monitoring to maintain pilot standards. The nationwide rollout is expected to benefit students through improved classroom practice and support the government’s vision of a technology-driven education system.
