The state reopened its criminal probe in February after the DOJ released millions of files, and searched Zorro Ranch in March; the release included an unverified 2019 email alleging graves near the property. Heavy redactions have drawn congressional criticism and an inspector general review, and some members were allowed restricted viewing of unredacted documents.
