Grand jury indicts Hawaii lieutenant governor Sylvia Luke

Luke faces counts including criminal conspiracy to commit bribery, bribery and falsifying candidate committee reports, and bail was set at $80,000 for her; other defendants faced varying bail and charges, and lobbyist Tobi Solidum reportedly fled to the Philippines. The attorney general held a brief news conference and stressed the presumption of innocence, while the campaign spending commission separately referred Luke for 251 alleged campaign finance violations, and the governor urged she consider resigning.
