Former Hawks head denies knowledge of alleged cartel
Retired Hawks head Godfrey Lebeya told the Madlanga Commission he did not know of the alleged Big Five Cartel or of links to late taxi boss Jotham "King Mswazi" Msibi, and he denied interfering with a 2024 operation targeting Katiso "KT" Molefe. Lebeya contradicted former KwaZulu-Natal Hawks head Lesetja Senona over who authorised storage of a 541kg cocaine consignment later stolen from a Port Shepstone facility.
