4 min read

Daniel Kinahan, a leader of the Kinahan organised crime group, lost his final appeal in Dubai and will be extradited to Ireland to face a charge of directing a criminal gang. He was arrested in Dubai on 17 April after a Garda investigation and a High Court warrant was transmitted to UAE authorities following a DPP file. Extradition preparations involve the Gardaí, Defence Forces and government departments, and he is expected to remain in Dubai custody until handed over, likely within about six weeks, to face trial at the Special Criminal Court.
