Naver, Brookfield and NVIDIA expand South Korea AI factory
NAVER, Brookfield and NVIDIA announced a planned expansion of an AI factory at NAVER's GAK Sejong hyperscale data center, increasing the initial NVIDIA DSX deployment from 55 megawatts to 200 megawatts and supporting a long-term path to gigawatt-scale sovereign AI infrastructure. Brookfield will fund up to $9 billion as exclusive capital partner, NVIDIA will invest $1 billion, and NAVER will fund the remainder to finance the $10 billion project. The build will feature NVIDIA Vera Rubin and Blackwell platforms, support open model collaboration, and aim to provide production-scale compute and software for AI model development and deployment.
