Meta is expanding a large data center project in Richland Parish, a community of about 20,000, with an investment described as more than $50 billion and support for over 1,000 roles once operational. The company donated $5 million to the Louisiana Delta Community College foundation to fund full scholarships for local high school graduates for data center trade certificates, and has contracted more than $1.6 billion with local companies.
