Saudi Arabia condemns Iranian attacks on neighbors and ships

Saudi Arabia issued a strong condemnation after Iran launched missiles and drones at Gulf neighbours and commercial ships, including incidents in the Strait of Hormuz. The foreign ministry called the strikes a breach of international law, the UN Charter, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation charter and good neighbourliness, and named Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates as targets of concern. Riyadh warned repeated attacks on commercial ships threaten security and freedom of navigation. The exchange followed US strikes and an earlier attack by Iranian forces on a merchant vessel that was abandoned in flames.
