Ghana president visits Jamaica to advance reparations

President John Dramani Mahama will undertake a four-day official visit to Jamaica from August 2 to August 5 to deepen bilateral ties, expand cooperation with the Caribbean Community and advance calls for reparatory justice. The itinerary includes a high-level reparations dialogue at the University of the West Indies Mona campus with Sir Hilary Beckles, bilateral talks at the Office of the Prime Minister on trade and South-South cooperation, a trade and investment dialogue, a Kingston Freeport tour, and ceremonial visits that underline Pan-African links. The visit signals an effort to make Ghana a gateway for CARICOM engagement with Africa.

President Mahama will attend reparations talks in Jamaica August 2–5.
