Russia launched repeated waves of largely jet-powered attack drones at Kyiv, triggering at least 23 air-raid alerts in under two days and forcing residents into shelters. Ukraine's air force said about 140 drones were launched between 7am and 7pm on Thursday, more than 100 of them jet-powered, and officials warned the faster drones can outpace interceptor drones and may require costlier air-defence missiles. The assaults disrupted rail services, caused long train delays and damaged civilian infrastructure including 14 warehouses, 16 private homes, three apartment buildings and 16 vehicles; one person was killed and two were injured.
