Tagrisso improves eight-year survival in early-stage EGFR-mutated lung cancer
AstraZeneca announced eight-year results from the global phase 3 ADAURA trial showing adjuvant Tagrisso (osimertinib) produced a sustained overall survival benefit versus placebo in patients with completely resected early-stage EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer. In the trial's primary population Tagrisso reduced the risk of death by 47%, and in the overall population by 48%. Estimated eight-year survival was 74% with Tagrisso versus 58% with placebo in the primary population, and 79% versus 64% overall. The data were presented at the IASLC WCLC 2026 Presidential Symposium and published in the Journal of Thoracic Oncology.
