Pumitamig and elfetabart show activity in small cell lung cancer

The phase 1b/2 BNT324-01 trial reported at IASLC WCLC 2026 tested pumitamig, a pd-l1 x vegf-a bispecific, plus elfetabart drozuntecan, a b7h3-directed antibody-drug conjugate, in advanced small cell lung cancer. Among 71 efficacy-evaluable patients as of July 7, 2026, objective response rate was 70.4% (one complete response, 49 partial responses) and disease control rate 93.0%, with responses across first- to later-line settings. Molecular evidence included ctDNA reduction in 96% and clearance in 39%. Safety in 193 treated patients showed treatment-related events in 75.6% and grade ≥3 events in 23.3%, with no dose-limiting toxicities in escalation.
