Longeveron advances to XPRIZE Healthspan final, wins $1 million
Longeveron was selected as a Milestone 2 Awardee in the XPRIZE Healthspan competition, one of ten teams chosen from over 600 applicants across 58 countries, and will receive $1,000,000 to support a future competition clinical trial. XPRIZE Healthspan seeks therapies that restore muscle, cognition, and immune function in adults aged 50–90 by at least 10 years within one year or less of treatment. Longeveron's lead product, laromestrocel, is an allogeneic mesenchymal stem cell therapy that showed increased 6-minute walk distance in an aging-related frailty trial, and has five U.S. FDA designations across its development programs.
