WSPA becomes CW affiliate after loss of CBS affiliation
3 min read
WSPA-7 in Greenville announced it will affiliate with the CW network and begin carrying CW programming on Aug. 1 after CBS shifted affiliations in the market. The station posted the change on Facebook and said local news, weather and sports from the 7News team will continue and could expand, with anchor Gordon Dill and reporter Christine Scarpelli both assuring viewers staff and coverage remain. The move follows a Nexstar-CBS agreement and wider affiliation reshuffle that sent some CBS affiliations to Hearst stations such as WYFF 4, which will carry NBC and CBS starting Aug. 1.
WSPA channel 7 will start airing CW programming on August 1.
