U2 write song about Rosalía for new album

U2 announced their 16th studio album, Carnaval De Luz, due November 13, and Bono told Rolling Stone that the record's fourth track is titled 'The Mirror Maker (Rosalía)' and is written about Spanish artist Rosalía. Bono said he was inspired by Rosalía's 2025 album Lux and sought her blessing via a mutual friend, Penélope Cruz; they have texted but not yet met. Producer Jacknife Lee said the album version is the song's 196th iteration, and the record also features Dolly Parton's final recorded vocal on closing track 'Torn'. The album arrives during U2's 50th anniversary year.
