Taylor Swift earns Emmy nomination for Eras Tour film

Taylor Swift received an Emmy nomination for The Eras Tour: The Final Show in the outstanding variety special category, credited as both performer and producer for the expanded concert film that adds her The Tortured Poets Department set to the 2023 theatrical release. The director, Glen Weiss, also earned a nomination for best directing for a variety special. Other competitors in the category include Dave Chappelle, The Muppet Show, Nikki Glaser and Wicked. The nomination follows Swift's recent marriage to Travis Kelce and marks her first major Emmy recognition since her 2015 Emmy win for an interactive Taylor Swift app.
