Bonnie Tyler, the singer best known for "Total Eclipse of the Heart," died in hospital in Portugal on the night of July 8, aged 75, her family and team said. The statement said she unexpectedly passed away from the illness she was being treated for and asked for privacy while a further statement is prepared. The announcement follows reporting that Tyler had been put into an induced coma after emergency intestinal surgery in May; she had also rescheduled tour dates and made a final TV appearance on Lorraine in February.
