South Korea to launch Fanomenon music festival in 2027

South Korea will launch a new global music festival called Fanomenon from Dec. 2–12, 2027, with events at the new 28,000-seat Seoul Arena and the KINTEX convention center in Goyang. The annual program will include large-scale concerts by domestic and international artists, a fandom-focused awards ceremony, and exhibitions spanning food, beauty, fashion and content such as webtoons, films and television dramas. The Presidential Committee on Popular Culture Exchange said the government will assist with immigration and safety management and aims to use the festival to promote inbound tourism and grow related industries.
