UBEC to implement 10-year UBE roadmap from October
The Universal Basic Education Commission will begin full implementation of its 10-Year Universal Basic Education Roadmap (2026–2035) in the first week of October, the agency said at a consultative workshop with chairmen of the 36 State Universal Basic Education Boards and UBEC directors. UBEC executive secretary Dr Aisha Garba also unveiled the Basic Education Action Plan Management System (BEAPMS) and announced a revised matching grant formula that lets states fund repairs, furniture, fencing, computers, enrolment materials and teachers; BEAPMS will publicize accessed funds and project details and involve communities in monitoring.
UBEC will require whole school plans and publish project funding.
