Bangladesh and China launch vocational education cooperation
Bangladeshi and Chinese officials formally unveiled a memorandum of understanding and three international education and research cooperation platforms during a conference in China, and they inaugurated three centres: the China-Bangladesh Vocational Teacher Training Centre, the Bangladesh Vocational Education Research Centre at Jiangxi Science and Technology Normal University, and the Bangladesh "Chinese Language + Skill Development" Cooperation Centre. Education minister Dr. A.N.M. Ehsanul Hoque Milon and Prime Minister's adviser Mahdi Amin led the delegations, and representatives of 19 Chinese universities attended; the initiatives aim to expand teacher training, industry-linked student placements, curriculum development, research cooperation and scholarships.
