Galaxy acquires 500-acre site for McGregor data center campus

Galaxy Digital acquired roughly 500 acres in McGregor, Texas, under a development agreement with the city to build an AI and high-performance computing data center campus. The privately funded site will start with an initial development phase expected to reach 74 MW, with Galaxy securing a utility agreement for interconnection facilities and planning to build a private substation to avoid ratepayer costs. Galaxy expects initial power delivery in 2028 and believes the site could grow to a multi-hundred-megawatt campus by 2030, while adding an estimated minimum of $130 million to the local property tax base.
