Coinbase general counsel Paul Grewal to step down

Paul Grewal, Coinbase chief legal officer for six years, will transition to an advisory role at the end of the month and remain on the board of Coinbase National Trust Company. His tenure covered the exchange's public listing, the legal fight with the SEC, the move from Delaware to Texas, and work on the GENIUS Act and CLARITY Act. Molly Abraham, who worked with Grewal on key legal battles for more than five years, will become general counsel. Ryan VanGrack will become vice chairman to engage governments and partners globally while Faryar Shirzad continues leading global policy.
