Illumina, Bloom Energy and Everpure to join S&P 500
S&P Dow Jones Indices said Illumina, Bloom Energy and Everpure will join the S&P 500 effective before trading on 21 September 2026, replacing Molson Coors Beverage, The Trade Desk and Builders FirstSource, which drop to the S&P SmallCap 600. Shares rose in after-hours trade, led by Bloom Energy, and index-fund flows are expected to be the immediate technical driver until the effective date. Illumina's inclusion follows improving results, with quarterly revenue of $1,159m and diluted EPS of $1.35 for the quarter ended 28 June 2026, while Everpure is the former Pure Storage under a 2026 name change.
