South Korean and US commanders inspect eastern DMZ border units
Top South Korean and US military commanders, joint chiefs chairman general Jin Yong-sung and USFK commander general Xavier Brunson, visited eastern front-line posts along the Demilitarised Zone to inspect operations and unit readiness. The visit followed a recent rise in North Korean border activity, with more than 20 incursions detected in August and reported increases in barbed-wire fencing and landmine planting.
