Egypt's cabinet confirmed that a drone caused fires that engulfed two gas vessels at the Mediterranean port of Damietta, saying the blaze was an attack rather than an accident. British maritime firm Ambrey and trading sources said the drone hit the US-owned floating storage and regasification unit Energos Winter, whose 138,250 cubic metre capacity and operations are linked to Energos Infrastructure and Wilhelmsen Ship Management; the fire spread to Gaslog Salem but was extinguished and there were no injuries, the petroleum ministry said. The incident, verified by video and ship tracking, is under investigation and raises regional security and energy transport concerns.
