SK Hynix unit Solidigm considers $15 billion IPO
Reuters reports that SK Hynix is weighing an initial public offering of its U.S. Solidigm unit as early as next year that could raise about $15 billion and value the business at up to $150 billion. Solidigm was formed after SK Hynix completed its acquisition of Intel's NAND and storage operations for a total $8.8 billion, paid in two tranches in December 2021 and March 2025. The unit focuses on high-end NAND enterprise SSDs, including a D5-P5336 model with up to 122.88 terabytes, and is reportedly also weighing a U.S. NAND factory in upstate New York. The plan remains at an early stage.
Solidigm could raise about $15 billion in an IPO.
