Google to showcase Googlebook with Gemini and new laptops
Google announced a September 15, 2026 in-person event in New York to reveal Googlebook, the company's premium laptop platform built around Gemini and a native Android codebase. The company confirmed hardware partnerships with Lenovo, ASUS, HP and other manufacturers and plans hands-on stations to show multiple devices rather than only software demos. Leaks point to Qualcomm-powered designs codenamed Annite and Pic tied to the Snapdragon X Plus X1P-42-100 and a Mica platform, plus Intel-based models such as an Acer design with up to 32GB RAM and a 2.8K OLED display.
