Menon to fly to ISS aboard Soyuz MS-29
Prashanth Menon, a physician with frontline military, high-altitude rescue and SpaceX medical experience, is scheduled to travel to the International Space Station aboard Roscosmos Soyuz MS-29 with Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina. Menon began at NASA as a flight surgeon in 2014, joined SpaceX in 2018 to start its medical programme and was selected as a NASA astronaut in December 2021. On the ISS he will study physiological effects of long-duration flight, test making intravenous fluids from station water, refine in-space semiconductor crystal growth and trial ultrasound with augmented reality and AI.
He will test in-space intravenous fluid production on the ISS.
