Hylenr completes phase 1 validation study of lattice fusion
Hylenr announced completion of Phase 1 of an independent validation study of its lattice confinement fusion (LCF) BRT-NiUCS-2 reactor at Texas A&M University, with tests reported at ICCF-27. The study used thermal measurements, residual gas analysis (RGA), nuclear diagnostics and SEM/EDX materials work, and found elevated helium, argon and neon signals roughly two to three orders of magnitude above background, higher operating temperatures versus a calibration device, and post-reaction material changes, while gamma/X-ray and neutron counts stayed at background. Hylenr will proceed to Phase 2 for reproducibility, quantitative calorimetry and isotopic analyses toward commercialization.
Phase 1 detected elevated helium and argon in the active reactor.
Context
Hylenr worked with Texas A&M to run Phase 1 validation tests. The study found gas and thermal signatures and material changes. The next step is Phase 2 to test reproducibility and quantitative measurements.
