Anthropic says AI found new molecular machine in virus DNA
Anthropic reported that its AI model Claude identified an unusual protein pattern, named ART, in bacteriophage DNA adjacent to a CRISPR-like repeating array after scanning more than 200,000 reverse transcriptases and narrowing candidates to 20 during a roughly 21-hour run that used about 950 parallel agents and 210 million tokens.
