Venom frontman Conrad 'Cronos' Lant dies
Conrad "Cronos" Lant, co-founder and frontman of British metal band Venom, has died at 63, the band said in a memorial posted to its official social media pages. Venom credited his voice, bass and vision for more than four decades of work across albums including Welcome to Hell, Black Metal, At War With Satan and Possessed, saying he helped change heavy music. The announcement gave no cause of death. His son Nathan thanked fans for their support, and social media saw widespread tributes as the band affirmed Cronos' legacy will live on.
