Michael biopic surpasses $1 billion worldwide

Michael, directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Jaafar Jackson, has topped $1 billion at the worldwide box office and become the highest-grossing music biopic ever despite mixed critical reviews. The film traces Jackson's life from his Gary, Indiana youth through the Bad tour and features Colman Domingo and Nia Long as his parents, with Miles Teller as manager John Branca. After opening in theaters on April 24 and debuting on PVOD on June 9, Michael remains available on digital platforms and in select theaters and is scheduled to premiere on STARZ on Aug. 10, extending its global reach.
