At the 79th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland director Hong Sang-soo and actor Kim Min-hee won three awards for their new film No Place to Look: Hong received best director, Kim won best performance (with Monica Bellucci also honored for a separate film), and the film took the independent Ecumenical Jury Prize. The story follows a woman searching for her mother on Jeju Island; Hong handled directing, screenplay, cinematography, sound, editing and music, while Kim also worked as production manager. The film is scheduled for domestic release in the second half of the year.
