Alabama Shakes announce first album in over ten years
Alabama Shakes are releasing their first new album since 2015. The record, I Must Be Dreaming, arrives August 28 via Island Records, following the group's 2018 hiatus and a 2024 reunion of Brittany Howard, Heath Fogg, and Zack Cockrell. Singles already released include "Another Life" and protest anthem "American Dream," with a new single, "I Feel Hope Coming," due July 10. The band describe the album as a psychedelic soul turn with flute, harpsichord, and sitar, and announced it during a comeback tour that includes Alexandra Palace and festival dates through an Ohana Festival finale on September 26.
