Dolly Parton SongTeller hotel and museum set to open
Dolly Parton's SongTeller Hotel, a 245-room property created with Herschend, will open on Sept. 29 and the Life of Many Colors Museum will debut on the hotel's third floor in October. The hotel includes themed suites such as Acoustic Suites with Parton's guitars, Six Sisters suites, a two-story SongTeller Suite, and nightly live music venues including Parton's Live and Jolene's lounge. The museum will use recent filming technology to present narrated exhibits across decades, include an Imagination Library zone honoring more than 300 million books distributed, and aims to be the largest exhibit of her life to date.
The SongTeller Hotel opens Sept. 29 with 245 guest rooms.
Context
Dolly Parton died on Aug. 25 after working on these projects. The hotel and museum were completed and now have fixed opening and ticket dates. Reservations and ticket sales will open in mid-September and may show early demand trends.
