Revolut launches euro stablecoin EURR
Revolut has rolled out EURR, a euro-backed stablecoin issued by Bridge Building S.A. (the Stripe-owned Luxembourg issuer) and distributed via Revolut Digital Assets Europe, in a limited pilot to customers in Denmark, Poland and Portugal. The token is structured as an electronic money token under MiCA and exists on Ethereum and Polygon, enabling transfers to external wallets. The initial circulating supply was tiny — a reserve dashboard showed 374 EURR backed by €374 — indicating a controlled pilot. Revolut plans broader EEA expansion in 2026 subject to regulatory and operational readiness, while established euro stablecoins already compete.

Context
Revolut already lets customers hold euros and crypto in one app. The firm added EURR to let euros move off the app on public chains. The company may expand across the EEA if regulators and operations allow.
