ADI Chain and Shipfinex create tokenised maritime asset class
ADI Chain and Shipfinex have formed an exclusive partnership to create a regulated, institutional-grade tokenised maritime asset class, bringing vessel-backed finance and charter-linked income on-chain. Shipfinex will originate and structure eligible maritime assets, initially a pipeline of about 35 vessels worth roughly $500m, while ADI Chain provides blockchain distribution and settlement infrastructure; Maritime Asset Tokens will be available only on ADI Chain with primary allocations expected to settle in stablecoins denominated in UAE dirhams, US dollars and other currencies. Each vessel will sit in its own special-purpose vehicle and token economic roles may include vessel-backed credit or charter income; no tokens have yet been issued.
Partnership will issue maritime asset tokens on ADI Chain.
