Police dismantle syndicate, seize over 180kg of MDMA
Police raided a rented house near Seremban that had been converted into a mini-lab and seized more than 180kg of MDMA in powder, liquid, pill and crystal forms, with an estimated value of RM27.5 million and enough for about 404,000 doses. A 52-year-old suspected syndicate leader was killed after he opened fire at the Bukit Aman raiding team, and two other suspects, aged 32 and 35, were detained with positive urine drug tests. Officers also seized a revolver and three vehicles, and investigations under Section 39B and Section 307 are under way.
