British sprinter CJ Ujah denies role in alleged crypto fraud

British sprinter CJ Ujah has denied any part in an alleged organised cryptocurrency fraud after appearing alongside nine others at Chelmsford Crown Court. Police say the scheme used phone calls from people pretending to be police officers and crypto companies to trick victims into sharing security details, and one alleged victim lost more than £300,000. Coordinated search warrants were executed across Kent, Essex and London on 29 April as part of an investigation by a regional organised crime unit. A 12-week trial is scheduled from 24 May next year, with the next hearing on 9 September.
