Coal India posts higher July coal production and supplies

Coal India reported an 8.4% year-on-year rise in July production to 50.36 million tonnes and an 18.4% rise in July supplies to 64.19 million tonnes, the highest July offtake ever. The previous highest July was 60.5 million tonnes in 2024, and June was also a record month at 65.95 million tonnes. Cumulative supplies for April–July FY27 reached a record 262.04 million tonnes, up 6.9% year-on-year and above the 259.4 million tonnes recorded in April–July FY25; the figures point to stronger coal availability at the start of FY27.
July supplies reached a record 64.19 million tonnes.
