Romanian prosecutors indict Andrew and Tristan Tate

Romanian prosecutors formally indicted social media influencer Andrew Tate on charges including trafficking minors, money laundering, sex with a minor and witness tampering, and charged his brother Tristan with complicity. The brothers, dual US and British citizens and former kickboxers, were arrested in Miami after Britain sought their extradition and have been under Romanian investigation since December 2022. Prosecutors allege the Tates seduced victims, forced them to produce pornographic webcam content, kept about $1.25 million and tried to launder funds by buying four luxury cars; one alleged victim was 15 when targeted. The brothers deny wrongdoing and remain jailed while extradition and Romanian court review proceed.
