RTÉ to broadcast Katie Taylor Croke Park bout free-to-air
RTÉ has agreed with Matchroom Boxing and DAZN to broadcast Katie Taylor's Croke Park fight against Flora Pili live free-to-air in the Republic of Ireland on 5 September, using DAZN's broadcast feed with RTÉ's own presentation and staff on site. The event, expected to draw 80,000 attendees and decided hotly after rapid ticket sales, will also carry live radio commentary on 2FM. RTÉ said the rights cost is commercially sensitive and confirmed no government funding, while viewers in Northern Ireland will need to pay to watch the fight on DAZN.
