Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkiye form Makkah Defence Alliance
Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkiye have established the Makkah Defence Alliance, a trilateral security pact that treats an armed attack on any member as an attack on all, according to a Pakistan Army statement. Defence chiefs met in Riyadh to review threats from Yemen's Houthi rebels, agree enhanced intelligence sharing, military coordination and capability integration, and to translate the agreement into operational cooperation.
